Arrival at Guwahati – Umiam Lake – Sacred Forest

  • Arrival in Guwahati: Your trip begins at 9:00 AM from Guwahati
    Airport. Ensure you arrive on time or a day before for any additional sightseeing.
  • Umiam Lake Viewpoint: A scenic man-made reservoir also called
    Bara Pani. Surrounded by lush green hills, it’s a perfect first stop to
    admire Meghalaya’s beauty.
  • Sacred Forest of Mawphlang: A preserved forest revered by Khasi
    tribes. It is believed that anything taken out of the forest brings bad luck. This mystical forest is home to ancient trees, unique flora, and deep-rooted tribal beliefs.
  • Overnight Stay: Homestay in Meghalaya (Shillong).
  • Sightseeing:-Umiam Lake, Sacred Forest of Mawphlang

 Krang Suri Falls – Dawki – Mawlynnong (Asia’s Cleanest Village)

  • Krang Suri Falls: One of Meghalaya’s most mesmerizing waterfalls. Crystal-clear turquoise water makes it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.
  • Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Gate: Located at Dawki, this spot marks
    the international border between India and Bangladesh.
  • Dawki – Umngot River: A boat ride in this river is a must-do! The water is so clear that the boats appear to be floating in the air. You can also try cliff jumping here.
  • Mawlynnong: Titled Asia’s Cleanest Village, Mawlynnong is known for its eco-friendly practices, bamboo dustbins, and spotless streets.
  • Overnight Stay:  Homestay in Meghalaya (Shillong).
  • Sight Seeing: Krang Suri Falls, Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Gate, Dawki – Umngot River, Mawlynnong

 Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trek – Nohkalikai Waterfalls

  • Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trek: Known as “Meghalaya’s Scariest Trek,” this offbeat adventure takes you along bamboo bridges and ladders suspended over deep gorges. The trek rewards you with a stunning view of Wahrew River from the top.
  • Nohkalikai Waterfalls: India’s tallest plunge waterfall at 1,115 feet, located in Cherrapunji. The waterfall is named after a tragic Khasi
    legend about a woman named Likai. The sight of the cascading water against lush green cliffs is breathtaking.
  • Overnight Stay: Homestay in Cherrapunji.

Double-Decker Root Bridges & Rainbow Falls

  • Double-Decker Living Root Bridge: A marvel of bio-engineering, these bridges are handwoven by Khasi tribes using the aerial roots of rubber trees. The trek to reach this bridge is long but rewarding.
  • Rainbow Falls: A hidden gem, this waterfall is named after the natural rainbows that form due to the mist. A further trek from the Double Decker Bridge leads you here.
  • Blue Lagoon: A stunning pool of crystal-clear blue water, perfect for
    dipping your feet after a tiring trek.
  • Overnight Stay: Homestay in Cherrapunji.

Wai Sawdong Waterfalls – Zip-lining – Return to Guwahati

  • Wai Sawdong Waterfalls: A three-tiered waterfall with turquoise
    blue waters, making it one of the most photogenic spots in Meghalaya.
  • Mawkdok Dympep Valley Zip-lining (Optional): Experience a 2,000-feet high zipline across the valley with incredible views. (Self-sponsored: ₹600 for short, ₹1,000 for long)
  • Drive Back to Guwahati: Reach by evening and rest before the next day’s temple visit.
  • Overnight Stay: Guwahati hotel/homestay.

Depart for your onward journey. Or Extend the next day to visit Kamakhya devi temple.
